Respite care is planned or emergency temporary care provided to caregivers of a child or adult.

Who Could Benefit From Respite Care?

  • Individuals needing assistance prior to returning home after a hospitalization, surgery or illness
  • Family or at-home caregiver is going on vacation or in need of some relief time
  • Living arrangement is being renovated
  • A trial stay prior to a permanent move

The Respite Program sometimes requires a minimum stay that includes the day of admission and the day of discharge.  Some communities may charge a one time processing fee.  Reservations are based upon community availability. Respite payments are paid in advance and are non-refundable.  Respite care rates vary by community, but offer all the benefits of independent, assisted living and memory care. The admission process is the same as a permanent move, so advance planning will be necessary complete paperwork required by  the State of Arizona.
